Attached

If I show favoritism
to any thing,
any person,
any place,
I am run the risk of becoming attached to it
and miserable
if deprived of these things.
If I eschew
all people,
all places,
all things
to prevent favoritism,
I am attached to avoidance of pain and loss.
My I is a paradox
